OUR HISTORY
Our Production Journey from Past to Future
Discover the steps we’ve taken, the investments we’ve made, and the key milestones that have shaped our production capabilities throughout our journey from our founding to the present day.
1988
The First Step
Our founder, Mehmet Akif Akkuş, began his professional journey as a mold-making apprentice at the age of 12, following his primary school education. The experience and craftsmanship gained at this early age laid the foundations of the strong production culture that would later shape Akkuş Kalıp.
2000
Beginning of Operations
Akkuş Kalıp began its manufacturing operations in its first 100 m² workshop located in Karatay Industrial Site. Starting with limited resources, this journey became the first major step toward a corporate structure built on quality, precision manufacturing, and continuous development.
2004
Expansion of the Machinery Park
To respond more effectively to increasing production demands, we expanded our machinery park to 15 machines. This investment significantly increased our manufacturing capacity and enabled us to manage mold projects of different scales with greater efficiency.
2007
Relocation to a New Production Facility
In line with our growing production capacity and expanding customer portfolio, we moved to our new 2,000 m² production facility in Konsan Industrial Site. The new facility enabled us to undertake larger projects and manage production processes more efficiently.
2008
First Export Achievement
We completed our first export to Azerbaijan, marking an important step toward international markets. This achievement demonstrated that our production quality and engineering capabilities were recognized beyond national borders.
2010
Growth in Global Markets
We expanded our global presence by increasing the number of countries we exported to 15. By developing specialized solutions for customers from different countries and industries, we strengthened our international customer portfolio.
2011
Strengthening the Corporate Structure
We strengthened our corporate structure by updating our company title to Akkuş Kalıp Limited Şirketi. This transformation allowed us to develop our management, production, and customer relations processes within a more systematic and sustainable framework.
2011
A New Era in Production Infrastructure
To increase our production capacity and operational strength, we moved to our new 3,000 m² facility located in Büsan Organized Industrial Zone. This investment enabled us to manage larger projects simultaneously and with greater efficiency.
2014
Establishment of Quality Management Systems
We established our Quality Control Department and transformed our production processes into a measurable, traceable, and systematic structure. During the same period, we initiated quality certification activities to strengthen consistent and sustainable quality at every stage of production.
2017
Technology Investments
To enhance our production precision and technological capabilities, we invested in 10 Sodick and AgieCharmilles EDM machines. This investment significantly improved our ability to manufacture complex mold components requiring high levels of accuracy.
2019
Expansion of Production Strength
We increased our machinery park to 52 machines, significantly strengthening our production capacity and operational power. With this expanded infrastructure, we began completing projects for different industries faster, more accurately, and under greater process control.
2021
A New Level in Export Operations
We expanded our export network to 38 countries and further strengthened our position in global markets. Through production aligned with international standards and customer-specific engineering solutions, we established long-term partnerships across different regions.
2025
Investment in the Future
In line with our sustainable growth objectives, we invested in a new 10,000 m² factory site. This investment represents an important part of our long-term vision to advance our production capacity, technological infrastructure, and international competitiveness.
